About this opportunity
Jasper County Charter System in Georgia issued an RFP for 300 desktop computers with peripherals and software on February 1, 2022, with proposals due March 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST. The procurement has been closed out; for award details, contact aharrison@jasper.k12.ga.us.
The scope calls for desktop computers equivalent to MSI PRO DP20Z 5M 029US specifications: Ryzen 7 5700G processor, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro licenses, standard keyboards, mice, and 21-inch or larger LCD monitors. Vendors must provide a minimum of three references for similar projects with customer contact information. Pricing must separately itemize delivery and installation charges and any upgrades or additional services as distinct line items from base equipment pricing.
Evaluation prioritizes cost as the highest weighted factor, followed by product quality, bidder qualifications and experience, proximity to the district, and prior district experience with the vendor. The district holds an active Microsoft Shape the Future K-12 Academic Institutions agreement effective March 1, 2021, which allows participating technology partners to offer discounted Windows devices through National Academic licenses.
The successful proposer must execute a contract within 60 days of award; failure to do so results in potential award cancellation and consideration of the next qualified proposer. The district reserves the right to defer, reduce, or cancel the RFP if funding becomes unavailable or reduced. No phone calls regarding questions or clarifications are accepted. The district rejects standard commercial indemnification clauses and governing law provisions outside Georgia. Vendors may request site visit scheduling through the Director of Network Operations.
