About this opportunity

Paragraph 1:

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet's Division of Engineering and Contract Administration (DECA), is seeking proposals for architectural and engineering services to design a new 27,910 square foot Jackson Field Maintenance Shop for the Kentucky National Guard in Breathitt County. The scope of work includes comprehensive architecture, engineering, and interior design services to develop a modern, sustainable vehicle maintenance facility compliant with LEED Silver standards. The requested services span the full design lifecycle, from schematic design through construction administration. The project has a design budget of $1,274,564 and a total construction budget of $14,400,000. Proposals are due by March 11, 2024, with a short-list meeting on March 18th and interviews on March 25th.

Paragraph 2:

The Commonwealth encourages the participation of minority-owned design firms and will apply a reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders as required by statute. The selected Architect/Engineer firm will be required to utilize the Commonwealth's designated procedures, document systems, and consultants. While the RFP does not list any incumbent vendors, the new facility is intended to replace an existing flood-damaged National Guard vehicle maintenance shop in Jackson, KY. The project is 100% federally funded through the Army National Guard.
