About this opportunity

The Village of Mexico, New York, administering entity for Lake Ontario RE HoldCo, LLC, is requesting proposals for exterior masonry repair and repointing on the Beck's Hotel at 3302 Main Street under RFP #7, with sealed proposals due August 18, 2026 at noon and a mandatory site walkthrough on July 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The procurement carries a 30% MWBE participation goal and a 6% SDVOB participation goal; proposers must submit certification proof and utilization plans.

The scope includes repointing deteriorated exterior brick masonry, installing concrete masonry units (CMUs) on a courtyard wall, and pouring a new 1,400 square-foot concrete slab at 6 inches thickness with 4,000 psi compressive strength in the courtyard and B decking area, along with site protection and cleanup. All work must comply with the New York State Building Code and industry standards for historic masonry repair. Proposals must include a lump-sum base bid with unit pricing for brick replacement and repointing to account for field conditions. The project is funded through the Restore NY Communities Initiative administered by Empire State Development.

The selected contractor must carry workers' compensation, commercial general liability insurance of $2 million, business automobile liability of $1 million, and professional liability of $1 million. Evaluation criteria include relevant experience, project scope understanding, staffing approach, cost proposal, MWBE/SDVOB participation goals, project schedule, and references. Preregistration for the site walkthrough is required via email. Written questions are due August 5, 2026 at noon. Proposals must be submitted electronically in PDF format to Jamie Hawksby, Project Manager, at BecksHotel3302@gmail.com.
