About this opportunity

The Clarke County School District (CCSD) is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive fire alarm inspection service to be conducted districtwide across all schools and facilities. The procurement, identified as RFP #26-0129, seeks qualified firms to provide thorough fire alarm inspection services with the primary objective of ensuring safety and compliance across the district's infrastructure. A mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for January 21, 2026, at 9:30 AM EST, located at the District Services Building in Athens, Georgia, which all potential vendors must attend to be considered for the contract. Proposals must be submitted via email to the Office of Purchasing & Contracts by 11:00 AM EST on January 29, 2026. Interested firms are required to email Veronica Jackson at jacksonv@clarke.k12.ga.us to obtain proposal documents, with the email subject line specifically referencing RFP# 26-0129. The district emphasizes strict compliance with written requirements, and failure to adhere to specifications may result in proposal rejection. Vendors are strongly encouraged to thoroughly review the complete RFP prior to the mandatory conference to prepare questions and ensure a productive engagement.

The RFP does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific restrictions on respondent organizations. No information is provided about incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing fire alarm infrastructure that might require integration. The document also does not specify the contract's potential award value, budget range, or funding sources. The Purchasing Department maintains sole authority to modify, clarify, or change RFP specifications through written addenda, and the district reserves the right to reject any or all proposals based on what it determines to be in the highest and best interest of CCSD. Proposals submitted will remain valid for sixty (60) days following the submission deadline. After the January 29, 2026 deadline, a list of proposing firms will be made available, and a vendor tabulation will be provided upon contract award. The contract results may potentially be presented to the CCSD Board of Education for final action, depending on the district's determination.
