About this opportunity
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the development of Home Energy Rebate programs aimed at accelerating the transition to more affordable, efficient, resilient, and low-carbon homes in Texas. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit feedback from stakeholders, including homeowners, renters, installers, aggregators, industry experts, and potential program partners, to inform the design and implementation of these rebate programs. The RFI includes two surveys, one for community members and one for potential program administrators and partners, with a deadline of October 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. SECO and the Comptroller's office are under no obligation to issue a subsequent solicitation, and respondents will not be compensated for their participation. The information gathered through the surveys will be used to make decisions regarding the state-specific needs during the Implementation Blueprint design phase.
This RFI is for information-gathering purposes only, and no grant will be awarded as a result. All responses to the RFI will become the property of the Comptroller's office and will be publicly available. The RFI does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor does it indicate any existing incumbent vendors or contractors. The RFI also does not provide any information about possible award values or budget ranges for the future Home Energy Rebate programs.
