About this opportunity

The City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department is seeking sponsorship proposals from business entities for its recreational programs, events, and venues through a Request for Information (RFI) for 2025 Sponsorships. The procurement targets flexible sponsorship arrangements with varying monetary values, designed to support city recreational activities across Polk County and Lake Harbor CDP. Interested sponsors must submit comprehensive proposals to Matt Libby by 5:00 p.m. on May 16, 2025, including contact information, organizational summaries, target event types, and three professional references. The selection process involves a structured scoring methodology allocating points across five key categories: Operating & Maintenance Expense to City (15 points), Value of Proposed Support or In-Kind Service (35 points), Consistency of Product & Services with Event Audience (20 points), Experience, Credibility, Reputation & History (20 points), and Conflict of Interest with the City (10 points). Proposals will be evaluated based on these criteria, with the city reserving the right to accept or reject submissions and potentially award multiple sponsorships at different levels.

The RFI does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for specific types of organizations, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of businesses. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the sponsorship agreement template indicates potential benefits including branding opportunities, social media promotion, logo placement, and event-specific marketing activities. Sponsors would be required to pay specified amounts for sponsorship rights, with potential right of first refusal for contract renewal. The document suggests sponsorship values will be negotiated individually based on the specific program, event, or venue, making it difficult to establish a precise budget range. The agreement includes standard legal provisions covering public records, law compliance, force majeure, and other administrative details, indicating a comprehensive approach to potential sponsorship arrangements that prioritize flexibility and mutual benefit between the city and participating businesses.
