About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Finance and Administration Cabinet and Education and Labor Cabinet, is seeking bids for a Vending Market System (VMS) to be deployed at various Kentucky Business Enterprise (KBE) locations across the state. The VMS will include self-checkout kiosks, display cases, microwaves, and coffee machines. The successful vendor will be responsible for providing the complete VMS package, as well as repair services, maintenance, and training. Bids are due by 1:30 PM ET on September 4, 2024, and the contract will be awarded for an initial one-year period with four optional one-year renewals. The award criteria will be 90% weight on price, 5% on delivery time, and 5% on warranty period.
The Commonwealth has indicated preferences for qualified bidders, including Kentucky Correctional Industries and nonprofit agencies for individuals with severe disabilities. Vendors must comply with Commonwealth IT policies and standards and submit an affidavit affirming compliance with campaign finance laws. The Commonwealth reserves the right to cancel the RFB if responses exceed available funding. The RFB does not provide details on the estimated contract value or budget range.
