About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, in conjunction with the Department of Military Affairs, is seeking bids for roof repair and replacement services at a facility located at 410 Cavalry Drive in Glasgow, Kentucky under solicitation RFB-32-24 DMA Glasgow Roof Repair. The project involves comprehensive re-roofing of two distinct roof assemblies: an upper roof over the gym area currently consisting of a 2-ply modified bitumen asphalt roof over metal deck, which will receive a recover system with wrinkle removal, additional rigid board insulation, gypsum cover board, and a new two-ply SBS modified bitumen roofing system; and low roofs consisting of existing built-up roofs over a tectum deck, which will be replaced with a nailed base sheet, rigid board insulation, gypsum cover board, and a new two-ply SBS modified bitumen roof system. Existing stainless steel metal copings, gutters, downspouts, and trim will be retained or reinstalled as required, with new stainless steel gravel stop and copings added to select areas, while the metal roof is excluded from the project scope. Key qualifications require that both prime contractors and any subcontractors be approved, authorized, certified, or licensed by the roofing system manufacturer to install the manufacturer's product and be eligible to receive the manufacturer's special warranty; additionally, all seams on the base sheet must be heat welded. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for August 9, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. Central Time, with bids due by August 24, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. through the state's MOVEit file transfer system via the State Plan Room at stateofkyplanroom.com. Bidding documents, specifications, and drawings are available at no charge for digital copies through the State Plan Room, with hard copies available for purchase from Lynn Imaging.

No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation.
