About this opportunity

The City of Branson, Missouri, located in Texas County, has issued Request for Bid (RFB) 2823-15 for comprehensive HVAC and refrigeration maintenance services for various municipal facilities. The procurement seeks a qualified contractor to provide maintenance, repair, and installation services for HVAC systems, icemakers, and refrigerators from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, with potential extensions for up to three additional one-year terms. Required qualifications include a certified HVAC technician with commercial application experience, compliance with OSHA safety regulations, and the ability to perform comprehensive maintenance tasks such as electrical component checks, VAV system inspections, and chiller and boiler evaluations. The contractor must provide same-day response for regular service calls and four-hour emergency response, with detailed estimates for non-emergency work required within two to five days. The bid is due on October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST, with a virtual bid opening conducted via Microsoft Teams, and will be awarded to the lowest and best responsible bidder considering factors like price, delivery, contractor responsibility, and specification compliance.

The RFB does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The contract is tax-exempt, with the city holding Missouri Tax ID Number 12487040, and funding is subject to annual budget appropriations. Pricing will be based on hourly labor rates for regular and emergency services, with a cost-plus markup for parts, though specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documents. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and can award the contract by item, group of items, or on an all-or-none basis. Additionally, other public agencies may have the option to "piggy-back" on this contract. The successful bidder must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including immigration laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, and OSHA safety standards. The procurement encourages sustainable practices and seeks to establish a comprehensive HVAC maintenance service agreement that ensures reliable and efficient maintenance of the city's critical infrastructure.
