About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is conducting a single source procurement for two RetrievAll portable shooting trailers. These trailers will be used by FDLE to collect firearms data outside of a laboratory setting, as part of their mission to promote public safety and strengthen domestic security. The trailers are required to image and compare fired cartridge cases from semi-automatic or fully automatic firearms to the NIBIN database, which is owned and operated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). FDLE has determined that CyberNational, Inc. is the sole source provider of the custom-built mobile shooting system with the required features, and the intended single source contract will be for the period of 2/1/2024 to 1/31/2025. The estimated dollar amount for the procurement is $250,000. FDLE has justified the single source acquisition based on CyberNational being the sole distributor/manufacturer of the RetrievAll system, which includes specialized features necessary for FDLE's operations.
This procurement opportunity is limited to the jurisdictions of Leon County and the City of Tallahassee. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The existing incumbent vendor is CyberNational, Inc., as they are the sole provider of the required RetrievAll system. The budget range for this procurement is $250,000.
