The contract term is five years with an option to renew for one additional five-year term with City Council approval, commencing December 1, 2022. Service must be initiated within 180 days of notice from the City. The City pays the contractor monthly within 30 days of invoice; the contractor covers all collection, transportation, and tipping fees, with the City reimbursing documented tipping fees paid to approved disposal sites including the State Road 110 Landfill in Camden County. Rate increases are limited to 70% of the Consumer Price Index with annual City Council approval.
The contractor must maintain minimum insurance of $1,000,000 for commercial general liability and commercial automobile liability, workers' compensation as required by Georgia, and provide a $1,000,000 performance bond. All proposers must submit a notarized Certification Form affirming no criminal convictions, suspensions, debarments, or defaults within the preceding five years.
