The specification calls for Size 30 x 40 (Medium Coarse) garnet supplied in 50-pound bags, capable of removing heavy coatings and rust measuring 20–40+ mils while maintaining a consistent steel profile of 2.5 to 3.0. Delivery is to MaineDOT Bridge Division at 1542 Fuller Road, Carmel, Maine. Vendors must contact Barry Prescott 24 hours prior to delivery at 941-4501.

Pricing must be quoted NET, including all transportation charges F.O.B. to various destinations statewide, and must remain firm for the contract duration. The State of Maine Procurement Card is the required payment method with no surcharges permitted. Vendors must provide current Material Safety Data Sheets in compliance with Maine chemical substance identification law (26 MRSA). Separate invoices are required for each order.

The State reserves the right to cancel the contract with thirty days' written notice or immediately upon contractor failure to conform to contract terms. The contract may be extended beyond the stated expiration date at the discretion of the Director of Purchases if pricing and terms remain unchanged.

Award decisions will consider vendor willingness to extend quoted prices to Maine political subdivisions and school districts. Questions should be directed to Sherrill L. Hallett, Buyer II, Division of Purchases, at 207-624-7341 or Sherrill.L.Hallett@Maine.gov.
