About this opportunity

This is a sealed-bid procurement issued by Ithaca Public Schools in Michigan for Summer 2018 construction projects. The project will be executed through separate prime contractors working directly with the Owner, with overall administration managed by Wolgast Corporation as the Construction Manager and Kingscott Associates, Inc. as the Architect. The procurement is divided into four distinct bid divisions: General Trades (060000), Flooring (096500), Plumbing (222300), and Electrical (260000). Bidders may submit proposals for individual divisions or combinations thereof. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and project walk-through will be held on March 14, 2018, at 1:30 PM at the Ithaca Public Schools Superintendent Office Conference Room. Sealed bid proposals must be received by 3:30 PM on March 21, 2018, at the Ithaca Public Schools Administration Office, with public opening and reading of bids occurring at 3:35 PM the same day. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Contract awards to separate prime contractors are expected on or about April 16, 2018.

Bidding documents are available through the Construction Manager, Wolgast Corporation, for a plan deposit fee of $50.00 per paper set, with free access available through an FTP site; plan deposits are refundable. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid from a qualified surety authorized to do business in Michigan, with acceptable forms including Bid Bonds, Cashier's Checks, or Money Orders. All bidders must provide a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement in compliance with MCL 380.1267, disclosing any familial relationships between the bidder or its employees and school board members, superintendents, or other specified officials; bids without this disclosure will not be accepted. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the bid date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the lowest bid, and waive informalities or irregularities in proposals. No specific set-aside designations, budget ranges, or incumbent contractor information are provided in the available procurement documents.
