About this opportunity
The Madison Board of Education of the Town of Madison, Connecticut is seeking sealed proposals for GeoExchange testing services for a new PreK-5 elementary school located on Mungertown Road in Madison, CT. The primary objective is to commission one firm to provide comprehensive testing and drilling services necessary for conductivity testing of a geothermal well field. The selected proposing firm will be responsible for executing all testing services through its own capabilities and approved consultants, with a focus on determining the geothermal potential of the site. The Request for Proposal (RFP), identified by solicitation number 13910, was released on February 23, 2023, with proposals due on March 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM EDT. Potential vendors can submit questions to Adam Levitus of Colliers Project Leaders via email until March 3, 2023, at 12:00 PM. The solicitation requires sealed proposals and includes two addenda issued on March 1 and March 3, 2023, which may contain additional clarifications or specifications for the proposed testing services.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The solicitation appears to be open to all vendors, with payment terms to be specified by the proposing firms. The documents do not provide an estimated total value for the contract, nor do they outline specific budget ranges or financial parameters. Additionally, there are no details regarding existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements. The RFP is structured without defined line items, suggesting that vendors should provide comprehensive pricing for the entire scope of GeoExchange testing services. The primary focus remains on selecting a firm capable of conducting thorough conductivity testing for the geothermal well field at the new elementary school site.
