About this opportunity
Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of the Bogan Park Aquatic Center play structure and leisure pool replastering, with bids due June 24, 2022 at 2:50 p.m. and a pre-bid conference scheduled for June 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bogan Park Aquatic Center, 2723 N. Bogan Road, Buford, Georgia.
The scope includes removal and replacement of an interactive aquatic play structure (basis of design: White Water West Industries Ltd., manufactured in Canada), removal and replacement of all leisure pool waterline tile with replastering of the entire leisure pool, pool drainage, cleaning of all pool decking and tile including zero-entry tile, pool filling, and chemical balancing for public use. The awarded contractor is responsible for resolving all conflicts between the proposed play structure and existing pool infrastructure, including removal of obstructing items such as lighting or glass wall panels and any resulting damage. Replacement tile must meet bid-document specifications with the manufacturer's full color spectrum provided for owner selection. A storage area is available outside the glass doors of the leisure pool on grassed area, though the fenced-enclosed area is prohibited.
Poolside, Inc. (1205 Oakhaven Drive, Roswell, Georgia 30075) was selected as the recommended awardee with a base bid of $526,000. Award is made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All bids must include a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check equal to five percent of the total bid amount; a five-percent bid bond is mandatory, and failure to submit a properly rated bond will render the bid non-responsive. The successful contractor must obtain a one hundred percent performance bond and one hundred percent payment bond from a Georgia-licensed bonding company with an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in sealed containers marked with the bid number and company name. Physical submission only; Gwinnett County does not accept electronic submittals. Questions are due by 3:00 p.m. on June 10, 2022. Complete plans and documents are available as a PDF at no cost from Foresite Group, Inc., Anthony Pappas, 3740 Davinci Court, Suite 100, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30092 (770-368-1399, gsbids@fg-inc.net).
