The scope spans six school buildings—Beach Middle School, High School, North Creek Elementary, Pierce Lake Elementary, South Meadows Elementary, and three WSEC facilities (100, 300, and 400)—with work divided into 16 bid packages covering selective demolition, concrete, masonry, structural steel, general trades, roofing, glazing, metal framing, painting, floor coverings, playground equipment, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, commissioning, electrical, fire alarm, earthwork, and landscaping. Work is performed at multiple sites throughout Chelsea, Michigan.

Each bid requires 5 percent bid security from a qualified bonding company or certified check payable to the School District. All bidders must submit a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement under MCL 380.1267 certifying no familial relationship exists between the bidder or any employee and any Board of Education member or superintendent. Bidders must also submit a sworn and notarized statement certifying they are not an "Iran linked business" as defined by the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Sealed bids must be submitted electronically through Building Connected; no oral, faxed, or emailed bids are accepted.

The mandatory pre-bid conference and site walkthroughs occur October 12 at Pierce Lake Early Childhood Center, 275 N. Freer Rd., Chelsea, MI 48118, followed by a virtual MS Teams bid opening. Bid documents are available from October 5, 2026 through www.Clarkcc.com, Builders Exchange of Lansing, Builders Exchange of Michigan, and the Construction Association of Michigan. Project management is provided by Clark Construction Company (Chris Martin, 517-888-4955, cmartin@clarkcc.com); architectural services are by Kingscott Associates Inc. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part and award to other than the low bidder.
