About this opportunity

The State of Illinois is requesting bids on commercial-grade mowers for Region 1 and Region 3 state parks under a three-line-item solicitation with bids due September 17, 2026. The combined project budget across all three line items cannot exceed $99,999.99. Award will be made separately by line item to the compliant low bidder on an IFB basis.

Line Item 1 (Mississippi Palisades State Park, Savanna) specifies one zero-turn mower with a diesel engine, heavy-duty 60-inch minimum cutting deck, puncture-proof Tweel or equivalent tires with factory rims, adjustable suspension seat, foldable rollover protection with seatbelt, rear receiver hitch, removable cargo tray, side or front-mounted toolbox, weed trimmer holder, and trash collection bin. A 15-gallon minimum capacity sprayer system with all mounting hardware, remaining easily removable, must be included. Delivery is to 16327 IL Route 84, Savanna, Illinois 61074.

Line Item 2 (Kickapoo SRA, Horseshoe Lake, and Union County Refuge State Park) requires three mowers with a minimum 37 horsepower liquid-cooled diesel engine, 72-inch cutting deck with side discharge, hydraulic lift deck, digital multi-function display, dual hydro drive pumps, disk brakes, and adjustable comfort ride seat with rollover protection. Delivery FOB destination to Kickapoo SRA, 10906 Kickapoo Park Road, Oakwood, Illinois 61858.

Line Item 3 (Rock Cut State Park) specifications are contained in a separate document.

All equipment must be brand new, unused, free from defects, and include a minimum three-year manufacturer warranty. Vendors must be authorized dealers, wholesalers, or retailers with an authorized parts and service facility within a two-hour drive of the delivery location. Vendors must provide operator and maintenance training upon delivery and supply two copies of manuals (one permitted as a digital file). All pricing must include freight. Brand name references describe quality standards only and do not restrict competition; bidders proposing equal products bear the burden of proof. Illinois Standard Certifications (Version 26.2) and Standard Terms and Conditions apply to all responses.
