About this opportunity

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) has issued a single-source procurement notice for annual calibration services of Grason-Stadler audiology equipment located on its campus. This non-competitive solicitation, designated as Advertisement Number SS-25-100, seeks to engage e3 Diagnostics, Inc. as the sole authorized service provider for these specialized equipment calibrations. The procurement is specifically focused on obtaining professional calibration services for audiology equipment, with a clear requirement that the vendor must be the recommended authorized service provider for specific states and zip code regions, including the 320 zip code area where FSDB is located. The advertisement period runs from May 16, 2025, to June 9, 2025, providing a fifteen-business day window for potential vendors to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the procurement requirements. Interested parties are instructed to submit any questions via email to Elizabeth Nimitz, Purchasing Analyst, at nimitze@fsdbk12.org. While the procurement is structured as a single-source acquisition, FSDB maintains the discretion to consider alternative vendors who can prove their capability to provide the required services during the advertising period.

The procurement is restricted to e3 Diagnostics, Inc., which is identified as the sole source distributor for Grason-Stadler products and the recommended authorized service provider for Alabama, Georgia, and specific Florida zip code regions. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the documentation. The total contract value is established at a not-to-exceed amount of $2,864.58 for the 2025 service year. The procurement does not indicate any requirements for vendor diversity, small business participation, or other competitive bidding criteria. Vendors who wish to challenge the single-source determination must file a protest within the timeframe prescribed in Florida Statutes Chapter 120, or they will waive their right to further proceedings. The contract appears to be technology-specific, requiring precise integration with existing Grason-Stadler audiology equipment on FSDB's campus, which further justifies the single-source selection of e3 Diagnostics as the service provider.
