About this opportunity
The Town of Glastonbury, located in Hartford County, Connecticut, is seeking bids for a comprehensive construction project at the Riverfront Community Center through solicitation GL-2024-22. Bidders must submit their proposals online through the Glastonbury Bonfire Hub platform between May 2, 2024, at 9:30 AM EDT and May 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM EDT, with no late submissions accepted. Each bid must include a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond certified for at least 10% of the base bid amount, and the successful bidder will be required to provide performance and labor/material payment bonds for the full contract price. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements under Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-53, and bidders are advised to review the accompanying contract documents, construction plans, addendum, and Zoom instructions.
The solicitation does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, indicating the bid is open to all vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation, and there are no explicit details about existing infrastructure requiring integration. While the estimated total contract value is not disclosed in the solicitation documents, the project will be funded by the Town of Glastonbury. The delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be determined by the vendor. The procurement contact for this project is Nicole Melquist, who can be reached at 860-652-7588 or Nicole.Melquist@glastonbury-ct.gov, and interested bidders are encouraged to review all supporting documentation thoroughly to understand the complete scope of work and project requirements.
