About this opportunity

Harford Community College is requesting bids on a Quad Area Paver Improvement Project under IFB, with bids due October 6, 2026. The college encourages small and minority businesses to respond.

The scope spans five work categories: Site Demolition and Earthwork (grading, erosion and sediment control, site preparation); Hardscape Improvements (ADA-compliant unit pavers, concrete paving, yard-drain grate replacement, recessed tent anchors, landscape bench); Electrical & Communications (service conduit, wiring, panelboard, GFCI receptacles, path lighting, empty communications pathway); Domestic Water & Site Utilities (2-inch domestic-water service, hydrant, testing); and Landscape (full turf removal from approximately 3,100 square yards, scarification, imported planting soil and amendments, Maryland Certified tall-fescue sod, trees, shrubs, perennials, mulch, 90-day establishment maintenance, and warranties). The awardee must furnish labor, equipment, materials, insurance, bonds, and supervision.

Bidders must submit lump-sum prices for each of the five work categories; the sum of line prices governs in the event of mathematical discrepancy. Unit prices are established separately for field-verified utility lengths and Harford Community College–authorized additional unsuitable-soil removal or imported planting soil adjustments beyond base-bid requirements.

Work is performed at the Quad on the Harford Community College campus in Harford County, Maryland. The solicitation package, including specific response dates, site-visit requirements, bidders' meeting information, award dates, and contract term details, is available on the college's procurement website at https://hccweb1.harford.edu/Procurement/solicitationDocuments.asp. Prospective bidders should contact D. Pyle at DPyle@harford.edu for additional information.
