About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is conducting a single-source procurement for implements and equipment for their QIAGEN QIASymphony and QIAgility DNA analysis systems. The total estimated value of the contract is $1,100,000, with a term from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. FDLE must purchase approved QIAGEN supplies and implements that are compatible with their existing, validated equipment and procedures. The justification for this single-source procurement is that FDLE currently has 40 QIAGEN instruments in operation, and these instruments require QIAGEN-specific supplies and implements that can only be purchased from QIAGEN, LLC. FDLE has previously established their platform for QIAGEN accessories and maintenance through Invitation to Bid 1257 in November 2011, and the QIASymphony and QIAgility systems are the only ones validated to work with FDLE's existing QIAGEN EZ1 extraction robot.
This procurement is limited to QIAGEN, LLC as the sole-source provider. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. QIAGEN, LLC is the incumbent vendor for this FDLE contract, and FDLE's existing QIAGEN infrastructure requires integration with the procured implements and equipment.
