About this opportunity
The State of Ohio, through the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), is seeking bids for a one-year contract to provide refuse collection services at several state parks in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Jefferson counties. The contract will cover Beaver Creek, Guilford Lake, Jefferson Lake, and Lake Milton State Parks, with weekly service from May through October and on-call/reduced service from November through April. Bidders must submit a completed Excel sheet, with the total cost for the month of July as the bid amount, which should include any fees or surcharges. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total monthly service cost across all park locations. Key requirements include submitting invoices directly to Ohio Shared Services, with specific information included, and the contract being valid only through June 30, 2024.
The procurement process includes an optional pre-bid meeting on January 23rd, and bids are due by February 20, 2024. The contract may be eligible for Buy Ohio, Buy American, and Veteran-Friendly Business Enterprise (VBE) preferences, which allow for a 5% price differential or proposal score reduction for certified veteran-owned businesses. While recycling services are desired, they will not be a factor in the award decision. The budget or award value range is not provided, but the contract will be awarded to the overall lowest bidder.
