About this opportunity
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), specifically the Hocking Hills State Park division, is seeking to procure a Ryan's Equipment 1251 fixed grapple to be attached to a John Deere 50G mini excavator for parks and watercraft operations. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is focused on grounds keeping and park maintenance equipment for Hocking County, with delivery specified to Hocking Hills State Park at 19852 State Route 664 South, Logan, Ohio 43138. The procurement will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, determined by calculating the low lot total through multiplying unit costs by estimated usage. The key deliverable is the grapple attachment, which must be compatible with the specified mini excavator and meet the park's maintenance requirements. The proposal submission deadline is May 9, 2025, with a required completion/delivery date of June 16, 2025. Bidders must provide two examples of similar completed projects with photos and contact information, and will be required to complete a pre-award meeting with DNR staff to ensure mutual understanding of materials and project scope.
The contract opportunity does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. Potential bidders will need to comply with the state's standard terms and conditions, which include comprehensive requirements for data security, ethics, and legal compliance. The purchase order is valid only through June 30, 2025, with any goods or services after that date requiring a new PO. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the procurement follows standard state invoicing procedures, including detailed requirements for invoice submission to Financial Shared Services (FSS). Invoices must include specific elements such as the Purchase Order number, supplier full name, ship-to address, unique invoice number, service date, complete itemization of services, and line charges. Contractors must be prepared to submit invoices either via email to invoices@ohio.gov or by mail to a specified PO box in Columbus, Ohio, and must adhere to the state's strict invoicing and documentation requirements.
