About this opportunity
The City of Yonkers is seeking quotations for storage containers and cleaning equipment for its Police Emergency Services Unit through Request for Quotation (RFQ) RFQUA 2025-7634. The procurement involves purchasing specific items including 2 lobby brooms and dust pans, 2 four-tier steel boltless shelving units, 1 mop bucket with press, 1 resin covered quick-change item, multiple squeegees and brooms, Milwaukee tool bit sets, wood screws, a wet mop head, a roller, and a job master chest. Vendors must provide fixed unit prices that include shipping and delivery, and are required to state the manufacturer, make, and model number for each item. The quote submission deadline is April 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with delivery requested as soon as possible (ASAP). Evaluation criteria include price, availability, and lead time, with the City reserving the right to award based on what is deemed in its best interest. Vendors proposing "equal" products must submit detailed technical specifications for review and approval by the Yonkers Police Department. Quotes must include the Rider Contract Provisions for Non-Federal Entity Contracts under 2 C.F.R. 200.326.
The solicitation encourages participation from New York State Certified Minority or Women Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE), providing an opportunity for these businesses to compete for the contract. Vendors must complete a non-collusion certification and are subject to the county's procurement guidelines, which emphasize fair bidding practices and prohibit collusive activities. Payment terms are set at Net 30 Days, and the city is exempt from sales and use taxes. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the procurement appears to be for a moderate-value equipment purchase for the Police Emergency Services Unit. The contract provisions align with Westchester County's broader procurement policies, which include provisions for lead-free certification, compliance with County Executive Order No. 6-2007, and a focus on obtaining high-quality products that meet specified characteristics. Vendors are expected to provide comprehensive documentation, including detailed specifications for any "OR EQUAL" items proposed.
