About this opportunity
The State of Maine's Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for gypsum plank deck materials for the Limestone facility, with quotes due September 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. local time. In-state bidders or vendors offering Maine-manufactured commodities receive preference in the event of tied quotes.
The scope calls for 200 to 250 gypsum plank deck panels, 2 inches thick, 15 inches wide, and 120 inches long, conforming to ASTM C 442 and ASTM E-455 standards. Panels must incorporate lightweight aerated concrete integrally cast into galvanized tongue-and-groove edgings with electrically-welded, galvanized reinforcing wire mesh (12 gauge longitudinal at 4-inch centers, 14 gauge transverse at 8-inch centers). Maximum weight is 12 pounds per square foot, with capability to support a uniformly distributed load of 126 pounds per square foot when spanning six feet. Steel Edge Creteplank as manufactured by Martin Fireproofing or approved equal is the specified product. Delivery is required to 125 Kansas Road, Limestone, Maine 04750, with bidders required to provide available delivery dates in their responses.
Bid prices must include freight to the specified destination and be submitted as separate unit prices with all trade and quantity discounts included. The State is exempt from Federal and State sales and use taxes. Cash discounts are considered only for payment terms of 20 days or more. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value, with consideration given to commodity quality, specification conformity, delivery dates, and overall cost-effectiveness. Contract award is contingent upon successful screening through the federal Excluded Parties List System and provision of any required certification of eligibility. All bidders must submit a debarment certification attesting that they and their principals are not debarred, suspended, or ineligible, with written explanation required for any inability to certify. Electronic submission is required. The Division of Purchases reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive formalities, and adjust order quantities by up to 10%.
