About this opportunity
Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is requesting quotes for electric drum pumps via informal written quotation (IWQ 1-667726), with quotes due by 3:00 p.m. on June 14, 2022.
The scope comprises eight units each of two items: Model B55-T-5 120V, 510W, 60Hz TEFC Splashproof Motors (.68 HP) and 39-inch aluminum tube / stainless steel shaft, 1-inch hose rotor type sealless pump tubes. Delivery is required to Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources Lanier Filter Plant, 2590 South Waterworks Road, Buford, Georgia 30518, on an F.O.B. destination basis during business hours (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Unit pricing must include all delivery charges; installation is not required.
Bidders must provide a minimum of three references for similar projects, signed certification of non-collusion, and compliance documentation including a Contractor Affidavit and Agreement (required if the contract exceeds $2,499.99). Insurance requirements include statutory workers' compensation, commercial general liability ($500,000 per occurrence), auto liability ($500,000 per occurrence), and umbrella liability ($1,000,000). All insurance carriers must carry an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher and maintain Georgia licensure. If the awarded vendor provides delivery, a certificate of insurance is required; use of a common carrier such as UPS or FedEx eliminates this requirement under federal regulations.
Gwinnett County is exempt from federal excise tax and Georgia sales tax; contractors are responsible for these taxes on materials. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within ninety days of quote opening. The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award to single or multiple bidders as deemed in its best interest. Contact Brittany Bryant at 770-822-8759 or Brittany.Bryant@GwinnettCounty.com for additional information.
