About this opportunity

The St. Johns River Water Management District (the District) in Lake County, Florida has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to purchase 9,000 tons of limerock to refurbish the travel surface for the Loop Trail in Zolfo Springs Town. The awarded supplier shall provide the limerock, labor, and equipment to load the material onto the District's 18-20-ton dump trucks and issue certified weight tickets. The material should generally meet Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications for stabilized road base but does not need to be FDOT certified. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on December 21, 2022 and will be opened at the District's Palm Bay Service Center. The District reserves the right to inspect the limerock to ensure the quantity and quality meets the District's minimum requirements prior to award. Respondents must have successfully completed at least one similar limerock supply project within the past year valued at $5,000 or more. The District may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject all bids if the costs exceed the estimated budget of $95,000.00.

The IFB does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The District has not provided information on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. As this is a one-time purchase of limerock, there is no indication of recurring revenue or contract value beyond the stated $95,000.00 budget.
