Purchase and Installation of Modular Buildings

The State of Florida, through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), has issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the purchase and installation of two modular buildings at the Pathways facility in Marianna, Florida. The procurement aims to secure a purchase order agreement with a responsive and responsible vendor to provide the modular buildings, including delivery and setup. The ITB specifies detailed requirements for the size, construction, and functionality of the modular buildings, which must meet all state and local building codes. Vendors must submit their bids by January 10, 2023, and the agency anticipates issuing the purchase order or contract by January 23, 2023. The ITB outlines the pricing and payment terms, including that the vendor's liability policy must include contractual liability coverage and provide proof of insurance prior to commencing work.

The ITB notes that the agency reserves the right to add or delete commodities, services, or service locations after contract execution. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest cost bid. The ITB also outlines various statutory preferences that may be applied, including for certified minority and veteran-owned businesses, Florida businesses, and businesses with a factory in Florida. The procurement is being conducted by the State of Florida for the jurisdictions of Leon County and the City of Tallahassee, but no specific budget range or incumbent vendor information is provided in the available documents.
