About this opportunity
The Pueblo Board of Water Works is seeking to procure seven (7) new utility service bodies for their fleet through Invitation to Bid ITB-25-064, specifically targeting five RAM 2500 Crew Cab 8ft bed trucks and two RAM 2500 Regular Cab 8ft bed trucks. The service bodies must meet precise specifications, including 98-inch length, 78-inch width, diamond tread plate floors, full height vertical compartments, and LED lighting. Acceptable manufacturers include Knapheide, Reading, Omaha, Scelzi, and CM Truck Beds, with specific model numbers outlined in the bid documents. The procurement process has an inquiry deadline of October 29, 2025, with final proposals due by 3:00 p.m. MST on November 4, 2025. Enterprise Fleet Management has a pre-existing vehicle acquisition agreement and will handle vehicle delivery and invoicing, with actual vehicle delivery expected in the first or second quarter of 2026. Bidders must hold their pricing firm until delivery and are required to provide detailed specifications, warranty information, and proof of a Colorado-based service agency for maintenance and parts.
The bid allows for multiple payment terms including Net 15, Net 30, Net 60, with standard terms set at net 30 days. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned, bidders must demonstrate local service capabilities within Colorado. The procurement is specifically for Pueblo County, located in Colorado with FIPS Code 08101. No incumbent vendors are explicitly identified, and the solicitation does not indicate specific restrictions on responding organizations beyond the technical and service capabilities required. Though a precise budget range is not specified, the procurement involves seven service bodies to be installed on new trucks, suggesting a significant but not explicitly quantified investment. Bidders will need to provide comprehensive documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the technical specifications, warranty requirements, and delivery timelines established by Pueblo Water.
