About this opportunity
The City of Hudson, New York is soliciting sealed bids under Invitation to Bid PS_100_RB2 for the Public Square Renovation rebid, a single general construction contract, with a mandatory pre-bid conference on November 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM via Zoom for registered plan holders and bids due December 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Bidders must complete New York State certifications including debarment verification, non-collusive bidding certificates, State Finance Law affirmations, Iran Divestment Act compliance certifications, vendor responsibility questionnaires, M/WBE forms as applicable, and EO 177 certifications. The base bid covers 20 line items: selective demolition, tree removal of 24-inch-plus DBH trees and pruning, new water and primary and secondary electrical service, LED site lighting, earthwork, granite, bluestone, and limestone curbing and pavements, rectangular asphalt block pavement, full-depth asphalt with chip seal, compacted bluestone screenings, veterans' memorial uplighting and foundations, site furnishings, landscaping, and site restoration. Bid Alternate #1 substitutes hexagonal asphalt block pavement for chip seal, and Bid Alternate #2 restores and resets historic granite perimeter curbing salvaged from the removal work. Eight unit price line items cover various pavement types, curbing materials, and lawn seeding. The City, Keeler Precast Concrete, and National Grid will perform fountain basin demolition, tree stump removal, veterans' memorial removal and restoration, and electrical service connections, respectively.
Base bid completion is 270 days after contract execution, extended 60 days by Alternate #1 and 30 days by Alternate #2. The project is funded in part by a New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation grant under Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. Questions are due November 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM, and addenda are scheduled for issuance by November 18, 2026. No bid may be withdrawn within 45 business days after opening.
