About this opportunity

The County of Santa Clara Procurement Department is soliciting electronic bids for a Public Defender's Office Camera Installation project, designated as ITB-PRC-FY26-0403. The procurement is specifically for a comprehensive CCTV camera installation at the Public Defender's Office, requiring a contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to complete the work. Bidders must possess a C7 Low Voltage Systems and C10 Electrical Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State License Board at the time of bid submission. The bid is classified as a Public Work, which mandates prevailing wage requirements. Electronic bids will be accepted through Biddingo prior to 3:00 PM on September 11, 2025, with each bid required to include a bid bond or security of no less than 10% of the total aggregate bid price. Original bid bonds must be physically delivered or mailed to the Procurement Department, located at 130 W. Tasman Drive in San Jose, California, with specific instructions for drop-off or mailing provided.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the solicitation, the contract appears to be open to qualified electrical and low-voltage systems contractors who meet the licensing prerequisites. The procurement covers Santa Clara County, with potential work located in the San Francisco City jurisdiction. No incumbent vendor information or existing infrastructure details are provided in the document. Although a specific budget range is not disclosed, the requirement for a bid bond suggests the project has a substantial financial scope. Interested contractors must carefully review the bid documents, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and prepare their electronic submissions through the Biddingo platform. Contractors are advised to contact the Procurement Officer, Dan Duong, at 408-491-7405 or via email at Dan.Duong@prc.sccgov.org for any additional information or clarifications regarding the camera installation project.
