About this opportunity

Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids for respite care services for county citizens under ITB BL100-21, with bids due November 3, 2021 at 2:50 p.m. Firms on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list or currently debarred or suspended are prohibited from submitting.

Respite care services include light housekeeping, personal hygiene assistance, toileting, socialization, medication reminders, and meal preparation, with each client receiving an individualized care plan. The contract is on an annual basis. Unit pricing must be submitted on an hourly basis. Caregivers must be certified; Georgia Competency Tests for Certified Nursing Assistants meet certification requirements, with documentation maintained in each caregiver's personnel file. A Registered Nurse must be on staff to satisfy Georgia Private Home Care Provider Licensure requirements, though RNs are not required to conduct individual supervisory visits. Supervisory visits are contractually required for compliance but are not compensable line items in the bid schedule. Caregivers are not required to reside in Gwinnett County. Activity records may be submitted electronically.

Upon award, the selected provider must list Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners as the certificate holder on its insurance policy and register with the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov). The grant agreement number for federal funding compliance is AG2211.

Gwinnett County does not accept electronic submittals for formal solicitations; all bids must be submitted in physical form by 2:50 p.m. on the due date. Addendum #1 and Addendum #2 have been issued; bidders must acknowledge receipt of both on page 6 of the bid documents.
