About this opportunity

The Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG), through its Purchasing Solutions Alliance (PSA) cooperative purchasing program, is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide promotional products (RFP 24-202). The RFP is open to government agencies, schools, universities, and certain non-profit organizations nationwide. Vendors must propose the broadest possible selection of promotional items and services, with pricing based on factors such as Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and vendor catalog pricing. The resulting contract will have an initial two-year term with three one-year renewal options. Proposals are due by 3:00 pm CT on January 31, 2024. Evaluation criteria include cost, scope and quality of products, vendor experience, value to PSA, value-added services, and compliance with RFP requirements.

The RFP indicates that being awarded this competitively bid public sector cooperative contract can provide vendors with considerable potential sales value by allowing them to promote sales to governmental and educational entities without the need for the buyer to issue an RFP, thereby saving the buyer time and money. The RFP also notes that the resulting contract will be able to be used by local government agencies, certain state agencies, school districts, higher education, and non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations nationwide. The solicitation documents indicate that vendors certified as Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and/or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to participate.

Brazos Valley Council of Governments, is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide PROMOTIONAL ITEMS (RFP 24-202) to PSA Members, including government agencies, schools, universities, and certain non-profit organizations. RFP 24-202 may be accessed, and inquiries made at PSAbuy.org/Solicitations. Proposal due date: 3:00 pm CT January 31, 2024.

There is considerable potential sales value in being awarded a competitively bid public sector cooperative contract. PSA contractors have the advantage of promoting sales to governmental/educational entities without the need for the buyer to issue an RFP. This saves the buyer time and money from duplicating the competitive bidding process and managing the resulting contract. Many of our existing PSA contractors have been able to gain new customers because of the cooperative contracts.

The resulting contract from this RFP will be able to be used by local government agencies, certain state agencies, school districts, higher education, and non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations nation-wide.

We believe a PSA contract would enhance your competitive position in the government marketplace, and are eager to work with you to promote the best interests of our participating local governments and qualifying non-profit organizations.
