About this opportunity

The County of Santa Clara is requesting qualifications and proposals for a progressive design-build seismic compliance project at RMC (RFP-FAFFY27_CP26011) with proposals due October 23, 2026, though a prequalification step with an earlier deadline of September 16, 2026 gates entry—only design-build entities on the County's Shortlisted Proposers List under the separate prequalification RFQ (RFSQ-FAF-FY27_263-CP26011) may submit.

Electronic submission through the County's e-sourcing platform (https://biddingo.com/santaclaracounty) is mandatory; paper, email, and fax submissions will be rejected. The County will issue the full solicitation document (00 21 16) only to prequalified design-build entities. Proposers must submit one proposal per entity and include proposal security—a cashier's check, certified check drawn on a solvent California or national bank, or a completed proposer bond (document 00 43 14) in an amount not less than ten percent of the Estimated Cost. The original hardcopy of the Proposal Security Form (document 00 43 13) must be delivered to the County's Facilities and Fleet Department office at 2310 North Drive. Proposals lacking the required security will be rejected as non-responsive. Submitters bear sole responsibility for timely electronic submission; the County notes that submission may not be instantaneous due to internet connectivity.

This is a design-build progressive project; seismic compliance improvements at a County facility (RMC) are the scope. Performance is located at the RMC facility in Santa Clara County. No estimated contract value, incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, or question-submission deadline is specified in the source material.
