About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking to pre-qualify engineering firms to provide professional consulting services for their chilled water, hot water, and natural gas utility systems. The selected firms will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including capital improvement and utility master planning, preliminary engineering assessments, detailed design services, construction administration, cost estimating, and various specialized engineering analyses. The scope of work covers the evaluation, assessment, design, and construction administration of mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and distribution pumps, as well as associated electrical and controls components. Interested firms must register through the PlanetBids platform and submit a Letter of Interest by July 31, 2024.
The contract will be awarded as a continuing contract, and the district has expressed preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. No additional details are provided regarding pricing terms, funding sources, or incumbent providers, but the district is seeking to establish a pre-qualified pool of engineering firms to support its utility infrastructure needs in the Orange County and Chumuckla CDP areas of Florida.
