About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking proposals for the privatization of its Overweight/Over-Dimensional Permits Office. The selected vendor will be responsible for administering the Overweight and Over-Dimensional Permit Program, including processing permit applications, providing customer service, managing facilities, and delivering technical services. The contract term is anticipated to begin on January 1, 2024 and run through December 31, 2028, with potential renewal options. Proposers must submit their technical and price proposals by September 25, 2023, and the intended award will be posted on October 11, 2023. The vendor will be compensated with a monthly lump sum payment, with potential reductions for failure to meet the specified performance measures. The Department retains authority over permit criteria, application processing, and permit issuance, while the vendor will handle the day-to-day administrative and ministerial functions of the permit program.
The RFP encourages participation from small, minority, women, and service-disabled veteran businesses. Proposers must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketPlace system and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual requirements. The selected vendor(s) must not be on the Scrutinized Companies Lists. The contract resulting from this RFP will be subject to the MFMP Transaction Fee. The current incumbent vendor is not identified, and the available budget range for this procurement is not specified.
