About this opportunity

The City of Atlanta, through its Department of Watershed Management, is issuing a pre-advertisement notice ahead of an Invitation for Bids for drum screen equipment, replacement parts, and ancillary repair services, with a listed due date of November 26, 2026. Vendors must supply manufacturer-original or manufacturer-approved parts for Ovivo, Brackett Green, and other Heritage Brand equipment, or equivalent equipment that meets the City's specifications.

The specification covers five groups: RM Clayton liquid separators and drum screens (Group I), various drum screens (Group II), bar screen braking systems (Group III), miscellaneous parts (Group IV), and miscellaneous services (Group V). Bidders must submit a "Compliance" or "Exception" statement for each group. Vendors must supply 90 percent of required parts within seven business days and provide access to the remaining 10 percent within 72 hours, and failure to meet this requirement potentially results in contract termination. Deliverables include parts, service, and operating manuals; four hours of equipment-use instruction at the bidder's expense; original manufacturer warranty documentation at shipment; and a one-year warranty from the delivery date. Bidders must meet or beat store, municipal, state, and federal pricing and provide like or similar substitutes at quoted prices with no cost increase to the City. Annual itemized purchase reports are due to the Chief Procurement Officer within 15 days after each contract anniversary.

The specification permits optional multi-year purchase proposals covering three years of service and parts, subject to City approval and Atlanta's Code of Ordinance, which prohibits obligating the City for future budget years. Listed jurisdictions are Fulton County, Georgia, and two Atlanta City entries, with performance tied to the City's water and wastewater facilities. A revised Scope of Work dated October 16, 2026, is attached. A pre-solicitation conference will be noticed and held to answer vendor questions.
