About this opportunity
The City of Austin, Texas, through its Purchasing Office, is soliciting quotes under IFQ 1100 AGM1036 for a plug igniter for LM6000 gas turbines, with quotes due by 2:00 p.m. on November 2, 2026. The solicitation carries a small business and minority/women-owned business preference. If an adequate number of quotes from certified SBEs or M/WBEs arrive in response to an initial notice, the City awards the contract at that time. Only if insufficient quotes arrive does the City post the solicitation online and distribute it to all registered vendors for the applicable commodity code.
The item is GE part number 9392M95P04 (AE Stock No. 15739), delivered to Austin Energy's Sand Hill Energy Center at 1101 Fallwell Lane, Del Valle, Texas 78617, with a three-day lead time. The City reserves the right to determine equivalency of products that meet or exceed its specifications. Pricing must use the City's pricing submittal template and include handling, freight, and applicable discounts on an FOB Destination basis, with no separate administrative, overhead, per diem, or transportation charges. Quotes go by email to Ahide Garcia at Ahide.Garcia@AustinTexas.gov. Quantities are estimates only, with no purchase guarantee.
Addendum 1 corrects the price sheet's product category designation to Plug Igniter and adds no substantive terms. Bidders must certify compliance with non-discrimination and non-retaliation policies under Austin City Code Chapter 5-4, provide a wage theft employer certification confirming no wage theft adjudication within five years, and complete City of Austin Wage Theft Training within thirty days of award. Contractors must carry workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability insurance, verify non-debarment, and confirm they do not engage in prohibited LGBTQ+ conversion therapy or Israel boycott practices, if applicable. Payment is due within thirty days of receipt of properly documented invoices, contingent on delivery of conforming goods and satisfactory performance.
