The contract will be awarded on an all-or-none basis to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the highest price per ton of timber.
The solicitation does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or restrictions for specific enterprise types. Contractors must complete various compliance requirements, including E-Verify certification, anti-human trafficking attestation, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest. The project timeline requires mobilization and harvest initiation within 60 days of receiving the delivery order, with all work, including road repairs and ramp removal, to be completed within an additional 60 days. While specific budget ranges are not detailed, payments will be based on timber weight, with weekly reporting requirements and final payments processed within 14 days of the last timber load's departure. Contractors must adhere to Best Management Practices prescribed by the Florida Forest Service and follow strict environmental protection protocols. The work involves carefully marked tree removal, road and access trail maintenance, and preservation of wildlife and vegetation in sensitive areas.
