Richmond County Board of Education is requesting proposals for pest control services across 55 school facilities totaling 5.6 million square feet under RFP#26-208, with sealed proposals due August 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at 864 Broad Street, Augusta, Georgia 30901, and a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Butler High School. All work must be self-performed by direct employees only; the contractor must hold current Georgia pest control licensure and all proposed employees must hold current State of Georgia Pest Control Certifications.
The scope covers comprehensive pest management including inspections, treatments for insects, roaches, ants, and rodents, and emergency on-demand services at all Richmond County School System locations. Pricing must encompass all pest control treatment, monthly inspections, ant and rodent treatments for facility grounds, travel, labor, materials, chemicals, and emergency on-demand rates, with invoices submitted monthly itemizing services by location. The 55 facilities range from elementary and middle schools to high schools, alternative centers, and administrative buildings, with individual building square footage from 12,658 to 243,465 square feet.
The contract period runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2028, with an option for three additional one-year renewals at the same costs, terms, and conditions if mutually agreed upon. Award will be based on a selection matrix weighting available employees and response time (30 points), proven commercial pest management experience with similar-sized organizations (30 points), customer references (20 points), and proposed cost (20 points).
