About this opportunity
Grambling State University is requesting bids for comprehensive pest control services across its Louisiana campus under IFB, with bids due July 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST and a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Facilities Conference Room. All bidders must hold valid Louisiana pest control licenses and certifications and carry Commercial General Liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, Workers' Compensation, and Automobile Liability of $1,000,000 combined single limit, with Grambling State University named as additional insured.
The scope encompasses integrated pest management — eradication, treatment, prevention, and monitoring — across approximately 40 residential hall facilities and 40 academic and support facilities. Services target ants, roaches, bedbugs, rodents, mosquitoes, and other common pests. High-priority areas including cafeterias and concession stands require three to four monthly treatments; other facilities require routine service frequency (unspecified in detail). Pricing must be submitted on a per-building monthly basis for residence halls and academic/support facilities on university forms, F.O.B. Grambling State University Destination, inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, chemicals, and transportation. No additional compensation is permitted for service calls required due to infestations beyond monthly pricing.
The initial contract term runs from execution through June 30, 2027, with annual renewal options for up to three total years under the same terms. Either party may terminate with sixty days' written notice. A bid bond equal to 5% of total bid amount is mandatory; the successful contractor must provide a performance bond at award. Payment is Net 30 upon receipt of properly executed invoice, with 90% paid upon completion and 10% held pending submission of a clear lien certificate filed with the Lincoln Parish Clerk of Court. Alternate Bid No. 1 requires emergency wildlife trapping response within twelve hours, with liquidated damages of $100 per hour for failure to meet this requirement. The university is tax-exempt and will not pay sales or use taxes. Bids are due electronically with public opening via Zoom at 2:15 p.m. on July 2, 2026.
