About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Corrections is requesting bids for pest control services at Potosi Correctional Center, a 942-bed maximum security facility in Mineral Point, with bids due October 8, 2026, and a contract period of November 15, 2026 through November 14, 2027. A three-point preference applies to qualified Missouri Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises certified by the Office of Equal Opportunity.
The scope covers approximately 361,858 square feet across food service, housing units, administration, medical, and warehouse spaces. Services include treatment for rodents, insects, ants, flies, roaches, spiders, mosquitos, and other pests using crack and crevice treatment, spot applications, residual treatments, and insect baits. The service schedule offers three options: bi-monthly treatments (24 annual visits) for food service and canteen areas, quarterly treatments (4 annual visits) for remaining facility areas, and as-needed treatments within three days of notification. Services must be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. or at times mutually agreed upon.
Vendors must be Missouri Department of Agriculture certified pesticide applicators or companies, with all technicians holding current Pesticide Technician Licenses. All contractors must comply with E-Verify requirements if classified as business entities and possess current work authorization documentation. The incumbent contractor is identified under contract number Y24708084. The Department holds options to renew for two additional one-year periods. Vendors must submit firm fixed pricing on Exhibit A and specify maximum allowable percentage price increase or guaranteed minimum percentage price decrease for each renewal option year. Comprehensive insurance naming the Department as additional insured, OSHA compliance, Missouri Pesticide Use Act compliance, and Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals prior to use are required. Non-mandatory site tours are available by appointment with at least four days' notice. The resulting contract will be a Blanket Purchase Agreement with immediate payment terms. No federal funds are included.
