About this opportunity

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), specifically for Washington County's Maintenance District 12-4, is soliciting bids for a lift repair service contract involving two Rotary vehicle lifts located at 160 Route 519 in Eighty-Four, PA. The procurement seeks a qualified vendor to diagnose and repair a 60,000 lbs. capacity lift (Model # 30C5302BBK) and a 75,000 lbs. capacity lift (Model # 75-30SCPT1-4-1), with preliminary assessments indicating the first lift requires a rotary drive assembly with clutch replacement and the second lift needs a pump replacement on a rolling jack. Bidders must be Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspection Providers listed on ALI's provider directory, and mandatory pre-bid requirements include attending a pre-bid conference on August 31st at 10am and personally inspecting the lifts before submitting an electronic bid through the state's emarketplace portal. The contract stipulates that the awarded vendor must complete all repairs within 45 calendar days, performing work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, and restore the lifts to safe working condition. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the vendor's bid being binding and covering all necessary repairs to pass an ALI Lift inspection.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were mentioned in the procurement documents. The contract does not indicate any incumbent vendors or existing technology integration requirements. The procurement is a straightforward repair service with the vendor responsible for providing all necessary tools, equipment, and performing comprehensive lift system repairs. While no explicit budget range was provided, the procurement implies that the total contract value will be determined by the lowest responsive bid submitted. The awarded vendor must provide a current insurance certificate meeting specified requirements before commencing work and will be compensated based on their submitted bid price. PennDOT will pay no more than the amount bid, and the vendor must ensure the lifts are returned to full operational capacity within the specified 45-day timeframe.
