About this opportunity
The City of Alpharetta, Georgia is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for pavement analysis services to create a city road rating program. The selected contractor will be responsible for inventory mapping, software integration with the City's existing Cityworks asset management system, and conducting pavement condition surveys, sidewalk inspections, and ADA ramp inspections over a 5-year contract period with the possibility of renewal. The contractor must deliver a road rating program that provides detailed attribute data for each road segment, including length, width, number of lanes, overlay thickness, type, condition, rating, last inspection date, and inspector name. The city will review and score proposals based on qualifications, technical approach, and cost, and may shortlist firms for presentations or interviews before making a final selection. Proposals are due by October 3, 2024 at 10:00 am.
The RFP also includes requirements for a sidewalk prioritization rating project, where the contractor will create GIS data layers for sidewalks and handicap ramps with various attributes. The city has not specified any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, but it does indicate that the selected contractor will need to integrate with the city's existing Cityworks software. The total project budget is not explicitly stated, but the city reserves the right to limit the scope if costs exceed the available funding.
