About this opportunity
Coastal Carolina University is requesting quotes for the provision, delivery, and installation of commercial-grade poly patio furniture for the PGM Golf Building, with responses due July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST under RFQ CCU-9300805.
The scope comprises 70 furniture pieces in turquoise or approved equivalent: four side tables, eight porch rockers, 24 vertical dining chairs, six dining tables (45" × 46"), four counter height tables (46" × 45"), eight counter height chairs with arms, 16 counter height chairs, and four counter height tables (28" × 26"). All furniture must be commercial-grade poly lumber or equivalent outdoor-rated material, resistant to moisture, UV exposure, fading, cracking, peeling, splintering, and corrosion, and suitable for year-round coastal use. Offerors must submit manufacturer's latest product literature, provide three performance references, and identify any subcontractors whose work exceeds 10 percent of costs or involves critical services. The contractor is responsible for coordinating delivery and installation with the University's project representative, assembling all furniture per manufacturer specifications, placing items in designated first-floor and second-floor patio areas, and removing packaging and debris. Delivery is to Hackler Golf Course Club House, 107 Citadel Drive, Conway, South Carolina 29526, attn. James Johnson.
Pricing must include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, delivery, assembly, and installation costs and exclude sales or use taxes. Quotes should itemize unit prices for each furniture piece and separate fees for delivery and installation; unit prices govern over extended prices. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. This is a one-time purchase terminating upon completion. Contractors must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance ($1 million per occurrence), Auto Liability insurance ($1 million per accident), and Worker's Compensation with Employer's Liability Insurance ($1 million per accident), with Coastal Carolina University listed as an additional insured. Nonresident contractors are subject to South Carolina's 2% withholding requirement on contract payments unless exempt under Section 12-8-550. Questions are due July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST. The Procurement Officer is Tracy O'Keefe at tokeefe@coastal.edu or 843-349-2741.
