About this opportunity
The State of Maine is soliciting pages for a reference binder due March 12, 2012. The procurement scope comprises educational and procedural reference materials on immunization programs, vaccine administration, vaccine storage equipment specifications, and parental decision-making guidance. The binder will include materials on adolescent vaccines, adult immunization schedules, childhood immunization schedules, injectable vaccines by route of administration, vaccine mechanisms, vaccine storage and freezer setup, vaccine transport procedures, improving immunization rates, parental communication about vaccines, and parental decision-making regarding non-vaccination. Most reference documents originate from the CDC or California Department of Public Health, adapted for Maine use.
The contract includes a maximum allowable cost overrun of 3 percent. A price preference applies to bids for paper or paper products containing a minimum of 30 percent postconsumer recycled material that fall within 10 percent of the lowest compliant bid; bidders must explicitly declare recycled-content offerings and disclose the percentage in comments. The State Purchasing Director may extend the contract term beyond initial expiration with contractor consent, not to exceed three years total. Past performance is a stated evaluation factor. No estimated contract value, incumbent vendor, or specific performance location is identified in the source materials.
