This state and local contracting opportunity is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Forsyth County School System (FCS) in Georgia for the provision of propane and related tank infrastructure services. FCS is seeking a qualified and experienced company to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required, including one 18,000-gallon ASME propane storage tank and associated infrastructure. The awarded contract will be valid for 12 months with options to renew annually up to four additional years. FCS is requesting multiple options for both the infrastructure and payment models, including leasing, purchasing, and a hybrid lease-to-own approach. Proposals are due by January 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM Eastern time and will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience, responsiveness, and estimated cost.
Paragraph 2:
The procurement documents do not indicate any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. However, the current incumbent vendor is Ferrellgas, who has been awarded a contract from RFP# P23-14 for Propane and Tank Infrastructure, with a contract term from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, and an option for FCS to renew the fuel purchases portion for a second year. The pricing details include FCS agreeing to pay Ferrellgas half of the $222,431 equipment cost upon successful installation, with the remaining balance due by September 30, 2025.
