About this opportunity

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is seeking qualified applicants for an Open Enrollment contract to provide out-of-state courtesy supervision services for children placed in Residential Treatment Centers (RTCs) located outside of Texas. The selected contractors will be responsible for conducting monthly face-to-face visits with these children under DFPS conservatorship. Eligible applicants must hold a social work license and have at least two years of professional service in the child welfare system. The contract will be paid on a unit rate basis, with Contractors being paid $300 per authorized and delivered visit with a child, and $75 per hour for any required court testimony. The enrollment period is open from May 1, 2022, to August 31, 2027, and the anticipated contract start date is no earlier than September 1, 2022. DFPS reserves the right to cancel the Open Enrollment, make partial awards, or make no awards at its sole discretion.

The contract is open to all eligible applicants, with no set-asides noted. DFPS does not guarantee any level of utilization to Contractors, and payment is based on actual utilization, which may fluctuate. Contractors must maintain a minimum of two months' reserve throughout the contract term. The Open Enrollment does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and there are no specific technology or infrastructure integration requirements.
