About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Health (DOH), Division of Children's Medical Services (CMS), is seeking a single-source contractor to provide on-site inventory services for an estimated 300,000 X-ray records and microfiche cards currently stored at the CMS Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida. The required services include on-site digitalization, indexing, and disposition of the medical records in compliance with HIPAA and records management regulations. The contractor must utilize the DOH's Inventory Records Management Systems (IRMS) to perform these services. The contract term is for 1 year, with an estimated value of $390,000.00. The DOH CMS has determined that Optimized Professional Solutions is the sole provider of the IRMS system and can perform the on-site work required, justifying a single-source procurement. Prospective vendors are requested to provide information demonstrating their ability to supply the requested services, and the DOH CMS will provide notice of its intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract if it is determined that the services are available only from a single source.

The DOH CMS has not specified any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to this opportunity. However, given the specialized nature of the work and the requirement to use the DOH's IRMS system, it is likely that Optimized Professional Solutions, as the incumbent provider, will be awarded the contract. The contract value of $390,000.00 represents the estimated budget for this procurement.
