About this opportunity
The City of Brookhaven Public Works Department is requesting statements of qualifications for on-call surveying and/or subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services related to infrastructure improvements, with proposals due February 22, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST and a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on January 31, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. EST.
The scope encompasses surveying and SUE services for stormwater infrastructure, sidewalk improvement projects, and minor intersection improvement projects, but excludes capital improvement projects and those funded through GDOT or other federal sources. Surveying services include topographic surveying, deed research, right-of-way plan development, construction staking, as-built surveys, and forensic surveying. SUE services must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation Area Class 5.08 standards. Consultants may propose for either service line or both.
The City intends to award on-call contracts to a minimum of four firms. The initial term is three years with provisions for up to two additional one-year extensions. Individual project awards will be made as needed, with deliverables and costs negotiated in task orders for each project.
Evaluation is based on project personnel (35 points), firm experience (35 points), references (10 points), and previous experience with the City of Brookhaven (20 points), for a total of 100 points. Cost is not the deciding factor. Submission requirements include corporate documentation, proof of financial capability, project team organizational charts with licensure information, detailed resumes of key personnel, and at least three local references from work completed within the last five years. All work must meet GDOT standards or standards directed by the engineer.
Questions are due February 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST via the Bonfire Portal. Statements of qualifications must be submitted exclusively online through Bonfire; submissions via email, paper, fax, or mail are not accepted.
